Facilities in 2023

North Branch Library

A much-needed remodel and expansion of the North Branch Library is nearing completion and includes:

  • An additional 3,273 sq.ft. to the existing 7,178 sq.ft. North Branch Library

  • More community meeting rooms and study rooms

  • Outdoor spaces, allowing patrons to enjoy the stunning outdoor setting at the North Branch

  • Bigger children’s reading and teen creative areas

  • Spaces that accommodate the needs of children, young adults, families, and an increasingly culturally diverse community

  • Opportunities for integrating technology

The project is funded by Summit County Government Capital Projects, Strong Future dollars, and through fundraising efforts of the Summit County Library Foundations.

Frisco Transit Center

Opened in April 2023, the Frisco Transit Center in the central hub for transportation throughout Summit County, including the Summit Stage, Bustang, Pegasus, and Greyhound buses.

The welcoming new facility is 3,600 square feet, includes indoor seating, a fireplace, public restroom facilities, outlets and USB charging, and ample parking for passengers using bus transportation to reach the Front Range and Western Slope.

A $5 million capital project, Summit County received $2.5 million in funding from the State of Colorado, and contributed the remainder from the Capital Projects fund.
