Wildflower Nature School

  • A collaboration between Summit County Government and the Town of Silverthorne, who provided the land for the project

  • $7.5 million in funding from Summit County

  • Construction project managed by Summit County’s Capital Projects team

  • Opened in August 2023 with capacity for up to 70 children per day

Lake Dillon Preschool

  • $400,000 contribution from Strong Future childcare funds

  • Renovation of roof, windows, and interior

  • Serves XX children including Head Start and Early Head Start Programs

  • Located centrally near Silverthorne, Dillon, and Keystone

  • Serving community since 19XX

Mountain Sprouts Academy

  • Copper Mountain Resort Association is set to open a childcare center in 2024

  • Summit County contributed $490,000 to renovation of 3,000 square foot facility from Lodging Tax fund dollars

  • Capacity to serve 46 children including six infants, ten toddlers, and thirty preschool children ranging from 6 weeks to 6 years old

  • 1,800 square feet of outdoor play area

Tuition Assistance

  • Programs available to families county-wide

  • 98 children enrolled in First Steps, serving birth - 3 years, with an average 45% savings

  • 184 children enrolled in SPK3&4, serving 3 and 4 year-olds, with an average 70% savings

  • 174 children enrolled in UPK with 35 students qualifying for 15 additional hours

  • Over 280 completed applications in total

  • Funding from the Right Start, Strong Future and the Towns of Breckenridge, Silverthorne, Frisco and Dillon.
